EMPWR Fest
In 2020, Caroline founded an equality festival "EMPWR Fest" in Oslo (NO) with help from her colleagues at Kulturhuset. It took place over the weekend of International Women's Day across three venues. Focusing on culture, diversity and community, regardless of identity.
It resulted in an evening filled with concerts by 14 female hip hop artists in collaboration with YLTV and a brunch with several dance performances hosted by Dansekollektivet x Karmaklubb*.
EMPWR Fest also had a take over in collaboration with Oslo World, Fri Kunst, Safe Muse, Feministisk Filmklubb, Agenda, 3rd Space DJs, Kunstplass that made a big and important impact in the festival.
Dansekollektivet
For the last seven years since I finished my BA
in dance in Oslo (NO), I have worked as a dancer, dance teacher, head of booking and as a producer in the Nordic countries. I am currently based in Copenhagen (DK) where I work at Dansehallerne.
In 2015, I and seven other dance artists started "Dansekollektivet" which is an organization working to make dance as an art form more available to the public. As an organizer of dance events and performances, we wish to give you high quality art in untraditional places.
